PARTNERSHIPS

I have been working in partnership with other clinicians, treatment centers, musicians, artists, educators and social justice advocates for many years now.  These partnerships have allowed me to do the work that I have done at a greater scale, with a diversity of viewpoints and creativity.  The partnerships on this site are the ones that I currently engage in fully, sometimes as a leader, sometimes as a collaborator.  The result is an ever expanding community filled with diverse ideas, strategies, brainstorms and projects.  They cover my therapeutic endeavors, mindfulness training, and digital and traditional media creation.

INSTITUTE FOR CREATIVE MINDFULNESS

Dr. Jamie Marich, author of several books on EMDR and trauma, created an EMDR training platform and curriculum with  the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. As an EMDRIA Approved Trainer, I have been on Jamie’s faculty since 2015 and provide EMDR Basic Training and special topics in EMDR therapy training nationally and internationally.

This partnership has been over a decade in the making. Jamie's commitment to EMDR and mindfulness has been unparalleled, and our deep belief in the power of EMDR therapy as well as mindfulness based therapies gives us a clear mission together. Our partnership took its next step with the release of our book EMDR Therapy and Mindfulness for Trauma Focused Care bySpringer Books in November 2017. We have gone on to write Healing Addiction with EMDR Therapy: A Trauma Focused Approach, as well as two companion volumes for her Trauma and the Twelve Steps – Trauma and the 12 Steps Meditation Reader and Trauma and the Twelve Steps: The Workbook.

SOCIETY FOR HEALTHCARE INNOVATION

The Society for Health Care Innovation (SHCI) grew out of the Master of Health Care Innovation program at the University of Pennsylvania. Formed in 2020, Dr. Steve is a founding member. The goal of the Society is to continue the work started in the UPenn program on an individual and group level, to bring in members from outside MHCI into the society, and to become leaders in Health Care Innovation for years to come through research, conferences, social media, podcasts and innovation.

Located in Larchmont Village, just south of Hollywood, Larchmont Tower Therapy Group is a team of psychotherapists that provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples (married or not), LGBTQ communities and those not identified as such, and with family groupings of all sorts. United within clinical and political philosophies, and specialized in the healing of a wide range of diverse issues, this group of psychotherapists is a unified group that I am proud to be a member of. Beyond offering therapy, our team engages in teaching, training, and supervising therapists, clinical and organizational consultation, and community action on social justice issues.
